Transport properties of bulk samples and melt-spun ribbons of Mn2CoSn alloy were investigated. It was found that Mn2CoSn is a high-resistance compound with the value of electrical resistivity ρ ∼ 300 μOhm·cm at room temperature and demonstrates semiconducting behavior of ρ as a function of temperature. A change in the dominating conductivity type from hole-like to electron-like takes place upon heating above ≈137 K. Abnormal Hall coefficient RS is large and depends on electrical resistivity as RS ∼ ρ2. |
