Zusammenfassung: | It is the purpose to make English language learners and teachers (whose mother tongue is Spanish) aware of some English phonemes that pose special difficulties in the language learning process, and to present some activities to achieve a correct comprehension and pronunciation in English by the students. English pronunciation difficulties for Spanish-speaking learners are addressed in the authors’ educational context, and the trickiest phonemes are contrasted. Some probable causes why error correction techniques do not always yield the expected results are also analyzed. Some exercises to identify phonemes and elicit them are exemplified. |
