Zusammenfassung: | This paper extends noise correlation matrices based on linear two-port networks to describe nonlinear tri-frequency mixing networks, from which a computer-aided noise analysis method for superconductor-insulator-superconductor (SIS) mixers has been established. The noise correlation matrices used here provide an alternative noise analysis approach that differs from the noise scattering matrix approach used in SuperMix software. As a case study, we performed a noise analysis of an existing millimeter wave series-connected distributed junction mixer with an embedded on-chip bias-T. The simulated results show that the novel series-connected distributed junction mixer presented here has the potential to provide low noise performance over wide Intermediate Frequency and Radio Frequency bandwidth. |
