Zusammenfassung:Authenticity of a different sort is explored in Amanda Eubanks Winkler's article about the role of "historically-informed" music in "original-practices" performances, focusing on Tim Carroll's Twelfth Night to tease out the differences between the two terms, the former favoured by musicologists and the latter by the kinds of people who usually read SB. Wheeler traces the relationship between the performance of these plays in Britain, for an audience approaching them through Shakespeare, and in Spain, where, he argues, cultural mediation through influences like the RSC's season of Spanish plays creates a kind of multiple queerness for them on their home turf. [...]bringing us back to Shakespeare, the issue concludes with José A. Pérez Diéz's comparative analysis of the surprisingly rich performance history of Time in The Winter's Tale in the present century.
