Zusammenfassung: | Although there has been a significant amount of work done internationally on the legal issues and regimes established to deal with cybercrime, less work has been done on legal issues surrounding the direct use of the Internet by terrorists and terrorist groups to conduct business, attract adherents, and raise money. At the 99th annual meeting of the American Society of International Law, a panel was convened to discuss the issue of combating terrorist uses of the Internet. The three panelist are: 1. Barbara Berman, International Initiative coordinator in the Counterterrorist Section within the Criminal Division at the Department of Justice, 2. Susan Brenner, NCR distinguished professor of Law and Technology at the University of Dayton School of Law, and 3. Jim Lewis, senior fellow and director of the Technology and Public Policy program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. |
