In order to conduct an integrating optimization of cutter diameter and cutting parameters for energy-aware multi-tool hole machining, the machining time and energy consumption of multi-tool hole machining is firstly analyzed. Then a multi-objective optimization model for minimizing machining time and energy consumption is proposed and solved by a multi-objective particle swarm optimization algorithm. Finally, the necessity of integrating optimization of cutter diameter and cutting parameters is presented and the proposed model is validated by case studies.
