Dielectric curves exhibit the slightly visible small maxima near the depolarization temperatures, Td , and the wide maxima at the temperatures of Tm, whereas the acoustic emission exhibits the sharp bursts, corresponding to Td , Tlm, which is known to be a temperature exhibiting a strong frequency dispersion, TRE, which is known to be a temperature above which a frequency dispersion vanishes, and the Tm and the Tp manifesting a transition to the paraelectric phase. Based on the AE data it was established that all these characteristic temperatures shift down as x increases, but with different slopes. A mechanism of such the differences is discussed.</description><identifier>ISSN: 1516-1439</identifier><identifier>EISSN: 1980-5373</identifier><language>eng</language><publisher>Sao Carlos: Universidade Federal do Sao Carlos, Departamento de Engenharia de Materiais</publisher><subject>Acoustic emission ; Acoustics ; Bismuth titanate ; Depolarization ; Dielectric relaxation ; Dispersion ; Emission analysis ; Ferroelectric materials ; Ferroelectricity ; Ferroelectrics ; Lead free ; Phase transitions ; Relaxors</subject><ispartof>Materials research (São Carlos, São Paulo, Brazil), 2018-01, Vol.21 (3), p.1</ispartof><rights>Copyright Universidade Federal do Sao Carlos, Departamento de Engenharia de Materiais 2018</rights><lds50>peer_reviewed</lds50><woscitedreferencessubscribed>false</woscitedreferencessubscribed></display><links><openurl>$$Topenurl_article</openurl><openurlfulltext>$$Topenurlfull_article</openurlfulltext><thumbnail>$$Tsyndetics_thumb_exl</thumbnail><link.rule.ids>314,776,780</link.rule.ids></links><search><creatorcontrib>Dul'kin, Eveniy</creatorcontrib><creatorcontrib>Suchanicz, Jan</creatorcontrib><creatorcontrib>Kania, Antoni</creatorcontrib><creatorcontrib>Roth, Michael</creatorcontrib><title>Peculiar Properties of Phase Transitions in Na^sub 0.5^Bi^sub 0.5^TiO^sub 3^ -xBaTiO^sub 3^ (0&lt;x&lt;6) Lead-free Relaxor Ferroelectrics Seen Via Acoustic Emission</title><title>Materials research (São Carlos, São Paulo, Brazil)</title><description>Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 -xBaTiO3 (0&lt;x&lt;6) relaxor ferroelectrics crystals were investigated by means of dielectric and acoustic emission methods.
