Reports available on green plants represent a reservoir of effective chemotherapeutants, these are nonphytotoxic, more systemic and easily biodegradable. 2.Taxonomic Classification (Lepidium Sativum Linn) Kingdom = Plantae-plants Subkingdom = Tracheobionta- Vascular plants Superdivision = Spermatophyta- Seed plants Division = Magnoliophyta-Flowering plants Class = Magnoliopsida- Dicotyledons Sub Class = Dilleniidae Order = Capparales Famliy = Brassicaceae- Mustard family Genus = Lepidium L- pepperweed Species = Lepidium Sativum L.-gardencress pepper weed 3. According to Bellow the seeds are also considered to be galactagogue in the Punjab, and are administered after being boiled with milk, to cause abortion.
