INCIDENCE AND CAUSES OF 30-DAY READMISSION IN PATIENTS UNDERGOING EARLY INVASIVE VERSUS CONSERVATIVE MANAGEMENT FOR UNSTABLE ANGINA/NON ST ELEVATION MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION: INSIGHTS FROM NATIONAL READMISSION DATABASE
The top causes of readmissions in the early intervention group were congestive heart failure (CHF), acute MI, CHF: non-hypertensive, non-specific chest pain, cardiac dysrhythmias, complications of surgical procedures or medical care. Zusammenfassung: | The top causes of readmissions in the early intervention group were congestive heart failure (CHF), acute MI, CHF: non-hypertensive, non-specific chest pain, cardiac dysrhythmias, complications of surgical procedures or medical care. Conclusion Demonstrable lower rates of 30 day readmission and overall better outcomes with early invasive strategy compared to conservative management suggests need for large scale future prospective studies to better understand these differences in populations undergoing early invasive versus conservative strategy. |
