Zusammenfassung: | Improving the antimicrobial properties of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) depends on the coating, size and shape; therefore, it is necessary to implement techniques to increase the morphological and physicochemical characteristics in their synthesis and production. In this research, AgNPs were synthesized by the ligninolytic fungi anamorph R1 of Bjerkandera sp; the fungi’s pellets were mixed with 1 mM solution of silver nitrate (AgNO3) and were incubated for 144 h. Subsequently, kappa carrageenan biofilms mixed with AgNPs were prepared. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) showed that AgNPs did not modify the structure of the biopolymer (carrageenan), forming agglomerates in a range of 70-300 nm. These biofilms had strong antimicrobial properties against Escherichia coli (E.coli), for that reason, this biological synthesis method is an innovative process for obtaining biomaterials. |
