Killdeer parasitizes mountain plover nest

We discovered a Killdeer (Charadrius vociferus) incubating a nest containing three Mountain Plover (Charadrius montanus) eggs and three Killdeer eggs. The nest had been incubated about two weeks when discovered and was depredated three days later.
