Zusammenfassung:The goal of the present work was analysis of pe culiarities of mussel valve movement and cardiac activity under non damaging and damaging stress actions. Objects of this study were the Black Sea bivalve molluscsmussels Mytilus galloprovincialis Lam. collected in the Karadag natural reserve of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The mus sels were preliminarily acclimated to conditions of laboratory stay for 2 weeks. The experiments were carried out at temperature of flow water of 19 19.5C. Cardiac activity was measured with aid of a laser fiber optic 7 channel photoplethymograph [4, 6] designed at the Research Center of Ecological Safety of the Russian Academy of Sciences, which provided simultaneous recording of fre quency of cardiac contractionthe heart rate (HR) of 7 mussels. The valve movement of the same mussels was recorded with aid of a complex of automated recording of valve movements, which was constructed at the InBUM of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and analogous to the widely used abroad in such studies system Mos selmonitor (http://www.Mossel monitot.nl).
