Commentary: What Both Critics and Users of Ability Tests Need to Know

Intelligence testing has been heavily criticized in recent years on grounds of racial and ethnic discrimination. The validity of intelligence tests is discussed on two levels: generalized description of the items in intelligence tests and the correlates of the total scores on those items.
