After training posts at the City and Longmore Hospitals in Edinburgh, Brian became the first consultant physician in geriatric and acute medicine at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh in 1989. Chair of the symposium committee of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, he was also a regular host examiner in the PACES exam and latterly assistant registrar of the college. |
