description The research work critically investigates the benefits of electronics banking in Nigerian banks. To achieve this, the necessary data were obtained to investigate the data which involves the use of questionnaires. The hypotheses were tested and validated using percentages, goodness of fit test and chi square (X2) statistical analytical tools. The results of the analysis show that the use of electronic banking system in the banking industry is more efficient, more beneficiary and cost less when compared with the manual paper banking system. However, having weighed the merits and demerits of the introduction of the use of electronic banking, the commercial banks should embrace and invest in the new technologies in other to meet the needs of their today's banking system.
