C42 DYSPNEA: CASE REPORTS: Wound Botulism After Heroine Skin Popping
Diagnosis of wound botulism was suspected given the physical exam, wounds, and active heroin abuse. Diplopia, dysarthria and descending paralysis combined with illicit drug injection should key in a physician to be suspicious for wound botulism and notify the CDC, who will provide the antitoxin.
