TCT-776 Vascular Healing Response after Implantation of a Novel Fluoropolymer-Coated Paclitaxel-Eluting Peripheral Stent: a Comparative Drug-Eluting Stent Study in a Familial Hypercholesterolemic Swine Model of Balloon-Injured Femoral Arteries
Methods Thirty-six peripheral arteries of 18 FHS were balloon-injured at day 0 followed by implantation of a novel PES (Eluvia, Boston Scientific, n=12), a clinically available PES (Zilver PTX, Cook Medical, n=12), and a control BMS (Innova, Boston Scientific, n=12). Conclusion Eluvia PES provided b...

Zusammenfassung: | Methods Thirty-six peripheral arteries of 18 FHS were balloon-injured at day 0 followed by implantation of a novel PES (Eluvia, Boston Scientific, n=12), a clinically available PES (Zilver PTX, Cook Medical, n=12), and a control BMS (Innova, Boston Scientific, n=12). Conclusion Eluvia PES provided better long term antirestenotic effect and showed higher biological activity and more uniform neointimal coverage by OCT when compared to Zilver PTX after deployment in balloon-injured femoral arteries of the FHS at 90 days follow up. |
