description In this paper is presented an advanced methodology for the analysis of stress and strain distribution (statical structural analysis using the finite element method) in the working bodies of agricultural cultivators for seedbed preparation in order to optimize them. The geometrical model of soil working body was develoepd in SolidWorks format before being taken and transferred to the program of analysis with finite elenets (ANSYS), in order to perform the necessary resistance calculations made in linear static domain. The obtained results provide valuable information on proper geometric dimensioning of the working bodies of agricultural cultivators.
