description This study aims to identify the social networks formed in the area of innovation based on the analysis of articles published in international journals. A sociometric and bibliometric study was conducted on the journals International Business Review, Journal of International Management, and Journal of Organizational Change Management. Of the 1219 articles published, 598 approached the innovation topic. In the data analysis descriptive statistics was used, and to construct the cooperation networks among the authors and co-authors the software UNICET 6 was used. The research results show that the cooperative network formed is not very dense and the knowledge generated is formed by research groups, in which the main author is Pavlos Dimitratos, followed by S. Tamer Cavusgil, Tony Fang, Hinrich Voss, Ali E. Akgn and Halit Keskin. Also, that the most referenced authors by researchers are J. Dunning, P. Buckley and J. Johanson.
