description Hits efficiency of AHEAD technology (Advanced Hit Efficiency And Destruction) is determined by the high number of kinetic preformed elements evacuated, their kinetic energy and quality of materials they are made. The kinetic energy is determined by the velocity of the projectile, the velocity of the kinetic preformed elements transferred by the evacuation charge, as well as their mass. The high density tungsten or titanium alloys which are produced and the impact speed determine the extraordinary power of penetration, even at very low impact angles. This paper presents the behaviour of the kinetic preformed elements at the impact against the walls of the target, arguing the target effect of these kinetic preformed elements from the composition of the projectile. For modelling of impact phenomena, a transient nonlinear phenomenon was chosen LS-DYNA application that offers outstanding capabilities for investigating individual phenomena involved in ballistic theory - high-speed impact between penetrator and target.
