ChemInform Abstract: Synthesis, Structure and Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution of a Silver-Linked Hexaniobate Lindqvist Chain

Colorless single crystals of the polyoxoniobate K5 [H2AgNb6O19]·11H2O are synthesized by a combination of hydrothermal and diffusional methods from an aqueous mixture of K7HNb6O19, AgNO3, NH3, and HNO3 (autoclave, 160 °C, 22 h; 14% yield).
