Welcome to the 50th volume of the Canadian Journal of History

Founded by the History Department at the University of Saskatchewan in 1966 and edited by its faculty ever since, the journal has built a solid international reputation and enjoys a wide readership of professional historians and others interested in peer-reviewed historical scholarship. Moving away from our traditional focus on areas outside of Canada (which made sense at the time of the journal's foundation), we recently began publishing articles and book reviews in Canadian history.
