Zusammenfassung: | Lumbini, the place where the Lord Buddha was bom, is the World Heritage Site of UNESCO. It holds immense archeological and religious importance and is one of the greatest pilgrimage sites for Buddhists. Maya Devi was the Buddha's mother, who was in transit from her marital home in Kapilavastu and her birth home in Devadaha when she went into labor at Lumbini, where, in the Buddha's time was a beautiful garden Ml of green and shady Sal trees. There she bathed in a pond and gave birth to her child, the Prince Siddhartha Gautama, supported by the branches of a Sal tree. Maya Devi Temple dedicated to Buddha's Mother is located at Lumbini Garden. The Sacred Garden of Lumbini, the nativity site is marked by a commemorative pillar erected by Mauryan Emperor Ashoka of India during his pilgrimage to the holy site in 249 BC. Many religions have used the symbolic force of the garden as a peaceful atmosphere inspiring a sense of serene faith and tranquility, which embodies the mystical concept of paradise as the realm of the blessed. Lumbini, a modest grove with sacred trees, beautiful flowers, holy splendor, external tranquility where many legends are added in this dreamlike place. The authors developed the exquisite teaching materials and used in the teaching of general education curriculum. The self rating scale and questionnaire was used to collect the learning effectiveness and opinions of the students, the result from 138 dates showed that the learners got very good response. Finally, according to the findings, the study brought up some suggestions to the general education of university especially related to multi-culture learning. |
