Zusammenfassung: | Fructose showed a protective effect against oral cancer in men, lung cancer, and ovarian cancer in women, but was associated with increased risk for bladder cancer and possibly leukemia in women and increased risk for pleural and small intestine cancers in both sexes. According to Das et al., it goes without saying that more studies are warranted to understand the potential health consequences of sugars, specially fructose and its role in chronic diseases and cancer risk. |
