Zusammenfassung: | Operating within environments increasingly competitive, organizations have adopted the practice of outsourcing as an alternative to reduce costs. This process, which involves the transference of non-core activities to other organizations, has become a common practice. However, taken indiscriminately, it results in loss of expertise and deficiency in the production of knowledge in organizations. This paper highlights the need of following practices that maintain the identity of the organization, regardless of outsourcing, as a way to ensure its long-term survival. Based upon the idea that organizations are able to learn, create and retain knowledge, we present a panorama that encompasses contributions from psychology, sociology, and management. We conclude by the need of creating an organizational language, as a way of retaining knowledge in organizations. |
