Zusammenfassung:Sodium Bicarbonate Versus Saline for the Prevention of Contrast-Induced Nephropathy in Patients With Renal Dysfunction Undergoing Coronary Angiography or Intervention Mauro Maioli, Anna Toso, Mario Leoncini, Michela Gallopin, Delio Tedeschi, Carlo Micheletti, Francesco Bellandi This randomized study shows that, in addition to oral N -acetylcysteine, the hydration with sodium bicarbonate is not more effective than isotonic saline for prophylaxis of contrast-induced nephropathy in patients with moderate-to-severe renal dysfunction undergoing planned coronary angiography or intervention.
