description This paper analyzed the high efficient performance of a novel magnetic gear, which offers several advantages compared to mechanical gears in terms of reducing maintenance, improving reliability and inherent overload protection. The magnetic gear, based on step motor principle, was analyzed on transmission torque both statically and dynamically. With the static theoretical results verified by using Finite Element Analysis, we deduced a dynamic model and programmed to demonstrate the dynamic process. Dynamic characteristics were draw in the conclusion.
