From Social Knowledge to Social Research: The Case of Polish Sociology

After a short outline of the history of sociology in Poland, a general trend in today's Polish sociology is discussed. It is argued that the trend which stemms from a desire to make sociology a more scientific discipline leads, instead, toward the opposite.
