Este artículo analiza los esfuerzos del gobierno chino por formular medidas políticas y reformar las instituciones para satisfacer las necesidades del cambio tecnológico en general y de la biotecnología en particular. / "The People's Republic of China has a long history in the use of biological resources for a large number of industrial activities. The majority of these belong to the traditional sector. The arrival of biotechnology has enabled China to preserve this knowledge and to use it in modern applications, Recently, China has implemented an important program of political and institutional reforms that enable the country to benefit from these advances through the conservation of resources, knowledge and experience acquired through the years with the use of traditional biotechnology. This article analyzes the efforts of the Chinese government to establish political measures and to reform institutions in order to satisfy the needs of technological change in general and more specifically, biotechnological change".
