ChemInform Abstract: Simple and Efficient Method for the Synthesis of Azides in Water-THF Solvent System

A novel and efficient method for the synthesis of azides is developed using nucleophilic substitution reactions of alkyl halides, alkoxy esters or acid chlorides with sodium azide in a H2O/THF system.
