Zusammenfassung:Conductor and pedagogue Hans Swarovsky is profiled. Swarovsky was born in Budapest in 1899, but lived in Vienna most of his life. In the early part of his career, Swarovsky worked as a choral and opera director; from 1945 onward, he worked alternately as an opera and orchestral director, leading such ensembles as the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Scottish National Orchestra, and the Vienna State Opera. Swarovsky is also known for his work as a professor of conducting at the Wiener Musikakademie from 1946 to his death in 1975.
