Zusammenfassung:A single-phase 120 V, 60 Hz EV charging circuit configuration is considered with three different controllers for grid-to-vehicle (G2V) charging and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) discharging modes of operation. A 20 kWH onboard battery charger which can be charged at home or at parking places is presented. A bidirectional AC/DC and DC/DC converter is used for power flow control. Passive filter design considerations are derived. It is found, using PI controller, that the steady-state error, settling time, and THD levels are high and unable to track the grid current effectively. PR controller is able to track grid current with less steady-state error, less settling time, and less THD. Using SMC, it is observed that second-order DC output voltage, grid current THD, settling time, and convergence are comparatively less than PI and PR controllers. A solar PV-based charging circuit is also presented for EV charging.
