Zusammenfassung:This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts covered in the preceding chapters of this book. The book discusses the various types of renewable energy resources and the integration of hybrid Alternating/Direct Current (AC/DC) microgrids. It provides common Distributed Generation Renewables and loads. The book shows Energy Storage System (ESS) and its control by comparing the benefits of AC and DC. Hybrid ESS and other converting devices fulfil most of the technical advantages and need for various power system and network operations. DC microgrids are capable of reducing the large load size and provide better efficiency without any conversion process needed. For this reason, DC microgrids are simple and less costly. One of the prime energy sources for the microgrid is a wind energy conversion system. A wind turbine should be selected based on wind speed in that location and requirement of energy production. The microgrid concepts are going to dominate in future decentralized grid technologies.
