Insourcing vs. Outsourcing: A Case of CarOwlers

On January 30, 2021, Ajit Raut, Founder of CarOwlers Pvt Ltd, travelled from Baroda to Ahmedabad. He visited his company office to discuss with his Co-founder Himanshu Dhadnekar the key concern of appointing own drivers or availing service station drivers to launch their services. CarOwlers was yet to be launched mobile application for clients to get the car spa, a car wash service. The application would give clients a door-to-door service for the car spa similar to applications that delivered the food. CarOwlers Pvt Ltd was a mobile application that provided a one-stop solution for getting customers' car wash service as easy as the food got delivered. Since the ideation phase, the founders had been apprehensive about creating trust among the prospective clients. They believed that a home and a car were assets that anyone would be very concerned about.
