Immunofluorescence microscopy using rabbit polyclonal and mouse monoclonal anti-thrombospondin antibodies localized thrombospondin to the fibrillar extracellular matrix surrounding the cells. Thus, cultured human fibroblasts secrete thrombospondin and incorporate it into the extracellular matrix. |
