Hovering Hinge-Connected Flapping Plate with Passive Deflection

In this paper, numerical simulations are conducted to study the aerodynamic performance of a completely and partially rigid plate with passive rotation under various stroke amplitudes. Optimal aerodynamic performance and input power are then obtained from these studies.
