Coordination strategy between power system planning and asset management

This paper analyses and discusses why and how a coordinating strategy is proposed between power system planning and asset management. The dynamic strategy is pursuing a developing planning. The emphasis of the static one is placed on how the asset management provides suggestions and serves for system planning. Take transmission network expansion for example, this paper presents a coordination procedure and develops a planning model using the equivalent information from asset management. A static coordinating observation of the classic 6-bus system proofs that the strategy is reasonable. It not only plans a good network configuration but also a good network status.
