Zusammenfassung: | A process was developed for the preparation of a polymer electrolyte with high ionic conductivity at room temperature by the solution blending of two high molecular weight commercial polymers - poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) and poly(2-vinyl pyridine) (P2VP) - and LiCl[sub 4]. The blend containing ethylene oxide/Li[sup +] ratios of 2 exhibited a conductivity of 6 [times] 10[sup [minus]6]s cm[sup [minus]1] and displayed elastomeric properties at 30[degree]C. These properties and the conductivity satisfied the requirements for the material to be used in sensors and transistors. |
