Sea-quark effects in pion-nucleon scattering

The pion-nucleon interaction is investigated in a quark potential model with explicit admixtures of quark-antiquark pairs in the baryon wave functions. Two different approximations of the one-gluon-exchange interaction are studied. One of them reproduces all low-energy data reasonably well.
