Zusammenfassung:Application of the molecular precursor method to the synthesis of copper-based high-temperature superconductors rests on the authors ability to produce copper containing heterometallic alkoxides. They have reported recently on the chemistry of the anion Zr{sub 2}-(O{sup i}Pr){sub 9}{sup {minus}}, which is related to recent reports by the group of Mehrotra. They report here their investigation of the coupling of this and related anions to CuCl{sub 2} of relevance to hydrolytic routes to copper/oxo superconductors.
