Zusammenfassung:	Ambient atmospheric formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, and formic acid were measured during a one-year period in southern California. The 24-h ambient levels of formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, and formic acid reached 29, 13, and 8 ppb, respectively, with location-averaged values of 5.0-6.1, 2.9-4.8, and 2.8 ppb, respectively. These data can serve as baseline values to evaluate the impact of methanol fuel on ambient concentrations of aldehydes and formic acid in the region.
