Zusammenfassung: | During counts of migrating raptors near Roosendaal in western Noord-Brabant, 74 Marsh Harriers passed in autumn: 65x 1 bird, 3x 2 birds and 1x 3 birds. Such flock sizes are typical of migrating Marsh Harriers in The Netherlands. On 25 September 1999, a flock of 5 Marsh Harriers was seen migrating southsouthwest, an adult male (‘in the lead’) and four birds in brown plumage (too high to distinguish between female and juvenile). It is speculated whether this group comprised a family. |
