Zusammenfassung:「Purpose」: This study has focused on the effects of running training (Tr) following an etidronate treatment (E) on trabecular bone and growth plate of the tibia in ovariectomized (ovx) rats. 「Methods」: Thirty-five female rats aged 15 weeks were ovariectomized and divided into five groups: (1) sham-operated; (2) ovx; (3) ovx+Tr; (4) ovx+E; (5) ovx+E+Tr. Etidronate groups were injected with Ethane-1-hydroxy-1,1-diphosphonate at 5mg/kg, 5 day/w for 2 weeks. Subsequently, Tr groups were exercised on a treadmill for 30m/min, 60min/day, 5days/w for 10 weeks. Five-μm thick sections were cut and stained with the media of azocalmin-anilinblue. 「Results」: The height of growth plate was greater in Tr rats compared with non-trained rats. The partially filled with the trabecular bone at constant width was observed only in the E rats. The combination of both the etidronate treatment and running training results in the greatest level of trabecular bone area of all of the groups.
