Zusammenfassung: | Luis Villoro is one of the most representative figures of phenomenology in Spanish-speaking countries. This chapter deals with two aspects of his phenomenological works that are highly influential in the recent history of philosophy in Mexico. The first aspect is Villoro's critique of Husserl's idea of philosophy as rigorous science, and the second one concerns his conviction that neither philosophy nor science can ever be torn apart from practical wisdom, because only this kind of wisdom can lead a person into the path of philosophy and/or science as vocational choice. |
