Zusammenfassung: | A social accounting matrix (SAM) having 60 production sectors, two factors of production, namely, labour and capital, and 12 household occupational categories has been constructed for the Indian economy for 1994-95. For construction of SAM the 1989-90 Input-Output table prepared by the Central Statistical Organisation has been updated. The distribution of personal income among different household categories, which is a unique feature of this SAM for India, is based on the 'Income and Expenditure Survey of Households' conducted by the National Council of Applied Economic Research for the year 1994-95 as part of the MIMAP-India project. The problems encountered and the methodology used for constructing the SAM have been highlighted. |
