Zusammenfassung:Atriplex erecticaulis is a newly described annual species from dry lowlands in south-central California. It is a hexaploid species apparently most closely related to A. cordulata Jepson. All collections have been from Tulare, Kern, and Kings countries in uncultivated areas. Although limited in geographic and ecological distribution it is often abundant in non-cultivated natural areas.
