Zusammenfassung:	The consensus that emerges from this volume is that the conduct of the 2007 Papua New Guinea general election was an improvement on the previous general election in 2002. The prioritization of security, especially in the Highlands Region (chapters 6, 7 and 8), the improved whole-of-government coordination through the Interdepartmental Electoral Committee (chapters 2 and 5), and the increased recognition of the role of community engagement through electoral awareness (chapter 4) and domestic observation (chapter 5), are three stand-out improvements in 2007.
