An exact and objective positioning system for patients in conformal radiotherapy basing on optical 3D-surface-detection

For an increase in precision and reproducibility of patient-positioning a new technique is described. It is based on a continuous measurement of the complete patient surface in the whole therapy-region by means of a fast optical 3D-sensor.
