The electromagnetic wave diffraction by a partially screened anisotropic dielectric cylinder

A solution method is suggested to the diffraction problem of a homogeneous plane H-polarized wave on a partially screened dielectric anisotropic (hyrotropic) cylinder. In the method, the original boundary value problem in terms of the Maxwell's equation is equivalently reduced to the system of...

description A solution method is suggested to the diffraction problem of a homogeneous plane H-polarized wave on a partially screened dielectric anisotropic (hyrotropic) cylinder. In the method, the original boundary value problem in terms of the Maxwell's equation is equivalently reduced to the system of dual series equations whose singular part is converted using the direct solution of the corresponding Riemann-Hilbert boundary value problem with the specially developed analytical regularization procedure. The result is the second-kind system of linear algebraic equations with Hilbert-Schmidt operators in the l/sub 2/-space to be effectively solved with the reduction method.
