Zusammenfassung:We focus on the security of authenticating H.264/AVC, which is a standard for high definition (HD) video in many consumer applications including DVD movies as well as HD videos shared by users on the internet. There is high risk that these kinds of videos could be modified without authorization, to reflect situations that may not have actually happened, leading to viral videos. To prevent this, video content authentication can be used to detect any such changes. In order to analyze the security of video authentication, we present an attack strategy based analysis framework which applies to watermarking based authentication schemes. With this strategy, we analyze the security of two schemes against modification attacks, i.e. the watermarked video can be modified such that it still passes the recipient's video authentication check. We then discuss the reasons behind why certain attack steps can or cannot be performed by the attacker.
